1 input !== 1 output
The input of our effort does not linearly correlate to output.
One in does not equal one out. When it comes to the work we do, when it comes to the goals we pursue, the amount of effort we put in does not always equal a corresponding output.

It's just not linear. We can't bet on a random encounter, no. But we can put ourselves out there in new circumstances that have an uncapped upside.
This is where I think the manifestation woo-tastic philosophy actually works. Following a curated and developed intuition (how to get there is another subject) can lead us to open doors that we could never open on our own.
