let the opportunity in
When opportunity knocks, don’t ignore the sound. Open the door. Let them in.
They might stay for a while. Or they might be just passing through.
But pour them a cup of tea. Ask them where they’ve come from. See if you want to walk with them for a while.
Pull the thread of conversation. Follow it. They might be here to take you on a small detour—or a great adventure.
And even if they leave quickly, be grateful for the visit. They may leave behind a story or a shift in perspective.
I’ll admit: when opportunity shows up, I often hesitate. I already have a plan—my day, my month, my year. And this new thing? It feels like an interruption.
But maybe that’s the point. If we want to work with the universe, we have to let it meet us halfway.
If something good comes to your door, at the very least, answer it. You never know what it’s carrying.
