nightly appreciation ritual for connection

Try this gratitude practice with someone you love:

  1. Share three things you're grateful for.
These can be from your day or life in general—the warmth of the sun, a good cup of coffee, or simply feeling grounded.

  2. Share three things you appreciate about yourself.
Maybe it’s your resilience. Maybe it’s the fact you stayed calm in a tough moment, or that you pushed yourself just a little more.

  3. Share three things you appreciate about the other person.
Their kindness. Their silliness. The way they smile when they talk about what they love.

This was one of my favorite rituals from my last long-term relationship—a way we closed our nights with intention and care. Inspired by the Hoffman Process’s practice of learning to appreciate yourself, it always brought us back to presence and connection.
