The change-your-whole-life resolution game is a trap. But you can still set an intention—what do you want to call into the new year? Deeper connections. Richer community. Better career. More rest.

This doesn't have to be the moment for peer-reviewed SMART goals (though don't let me stop you if you're into that). Even a gentle intention can set you in the right direction.

Welcome the new year, the new season, the new whatever. The arbitrariness is beside the point. May the renewed energy bring love and joy to you and your families.
