treat change as a practice

We've all heard the saying: change is the only constant. Doesn’t make it any easier.

On some level, we know nothing stays the same.

And yet it's a natural human desire to seek safety in stability.

When politics shift, we protest. When technologies disrupt industries, we balk.

Change is hard, often painful. But the world’s going to keep worlding, whether we’re ready or not.

Instead, we can treat change like a practice.

Like a meditation—drawing our attention back to the one thing we can control: ourselves.

A practice does not feel natural at first. It takes time to enjoy the struggle.

Learning to love change may feel fake at first. Like saying “I enjoy cardio.”

It’s like trying to play your first scale. Or forcing yourself to stretch at 6 a.m.

THe practice starts as a chore. But with time, it becomes what you look forward to.
