No longer a scarcity problem
We no longer have a scarcity problem. We have problems with overabundance, with finding the needle in the haystack.
Finding something used to be about tracking it down. Now it's more about distinguishing it from the alternatives and charlatans.
Optionality is great. It's better than being forced into a path with no alternatives.
But optionality has its cost. Buyers remorse, analysis paralysis, and other psychological traps that turn abundance against us.
I think it takes more than willpower to overcome the downsides of optionality. It may take action and faith — trial by fire.
