finding work that aligns with you

Following your passion won’t always be an option. But a job can still share some core threads with it.

Finding work that aligns with your values and goals is the first step.

I love talking to people. I love writing. I love articulating ideas. And yet, a lot of my career has been in roles where I work in isolation — all in the name of freedom.

Now I’m exploring roles where I can be more in front of people. A sales opportunity has come up — one where I can draw on my technical background (to stay sharp and relevant) and even my musical side (selling as a form of performance). It feels like a chance to keep growing the passions that matter most to me.

Outside of making an album, I’ve never had a job that truly aligned with what makes me feel alive. I don’t know yet if a people-facing role will change that — but it feels worth trying.

Because when you enjoy what you do — when it feels like an extension of who you are — the work becomes lighter. Sometimes even fun.
